A Safe Place for Cats Who Have Nowhere Else to Go
Astoria Paws Cats was born from one person's determination to help stray and vulnerable cats. Today, that mission continues through rescue, daily feeding, medical care, fostering and adoption.
Meet Vanessa
Every day, before and after work, Vanessa makes sure more than 40 cats have food, water and the care they need.
Whether she's tired, sick or completely exhausted, she keeps showing up.
She rescues animals who need help — cats with medical conditions, special needs, injuries and those who are often overlooked or unwanted.
They may not have a voice, but Vanessa believes she can be their voice.
She does everything she can with the resources available to her, while always wishing she could do even more.
What We Do Every Day
Rescue
We help cats who are abandoned, injured, sick or in need of immediate care.
Care
We provide food, supplies, medical support and a safe environment while cats recover.
Adoption
When they are ready, we work to find loving and responsible forever homes.

Astoria Paws Cats Inc. is officially a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
What began with one person helping stray cats has grown into an organization dedicated to giving abandoned, injured and neglected cats a second chance at life.
Our 501(c)(3) status allows us to expand our impact, pursue grants and accept tax-deductible donations, helping us rescue and care for even more cats in need.
