Sophia's story
Sophia was one of those cats who leaves a permanent mark on your heart.
She spent her senior years surrounded by love, comfort, and the safety of a home.
As she got older, she developed hyperthyroidism and eventually her health began to decline.
Everything possible was done to keep her comfortable and give her the quality of life she deserved. But there came a moment when loving her also meant making the hardest decision.
Sophia was peacefully let go on May 22, 2026, surrounded by love.
Her story may not have the ending we always hope for in rescue, but rescue is not only about saving lives. Sometimes it is about making sure a cat never has to suffer alone, giving them dignity, comfort, and love until the very end.
Sophia was deeply loved, and she always will be.
